Community Resiliency Model (CRM) Introduction

Please join us for this introduction to the Community Resiliency Model (CRM). The goal of the CRM is to help create “trauma-informed” and “resiliency-informed” individuals and communities that share a common understanding of the impact of trauma and chronic stress on the nervous system and how resiliency can be restored or increased using this skills-based approach.

COMMUNITY BASED IMPLICIT BIAS WORKSHOP

STEP OUTSIDE THE COLOR LINES: AN IMPLICIT BIAS WORKSHOP
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 6
2:00 TO 5:00 PM

UNITARIAN SOCIETY OF SANTA BARBARA
1535 SANTA BARBARA STREET

What is “implicit bias”? How does it affect us personally and how does it impact our work for a more just and equitable society? What is going in on our wider community around this issue, and how is the Santa Barbara Police Department responding to the nationwide conversation about systemic racism in our justice system? If you are interested in these questions, please join the Rev. Julia Hamilton and community organizer Lizzie Rodriguez, from the Restorative Community Network, for this meaningful opportunity. This will be an in-depth, engaged workshop that will help us understand more about what we can do to dismantle racism within ourselves as well as in the wider world. Please click here to RSVP, this is a limited-capacity workshop so RSVP’s are required.

Candid interviews from veterans about how Community Resilience Model has changed there life.
